Following the withdrawal of Alex Wassabi due to injury on August 6, KSI will fight rapper Swarmz later this month.
The pair were supposed to meet on August 27, but the withdrawal was due to an injury sustained during training.
He will face the inexperienced British rapper in his first fight since defeating Logan Paul in his first professional fight in 2019.
He also has two amateur fights under his belt, beginning with a win over Joe Weller in 2018 before drawing with Paul in their first meeting later that year.
Long-time Tommy Fury rival Jake Paul was rumored to take Wassabi’s place for this fight, but KSI has stated that he would prefer to fight Fury next year.
Paul is a much more experienced boxer than the Brit, and as such, KSI sees this fight as a way to combat ‘ring-rust.’
He stated in a tweet on Sunday: “Just wanted to point out that one of the main goals of this first fight was to get rid of ring rust. I wanted to prove to myself that I’m a better boxer than I’ve given myself credit for in the past. If you want to see, go ahead. If not, that’s fine. I’m still doing it, though.”
