Will Smith Apology Video
When onstage in Atlanta on Friday, comedian Chris Rock did not directly address Will Smith’s recent apologetic video to him, but he did continue to make jokes about the infamous incident at the Oscars when he was slapped by the actor while presenting the awards program.
“If everyone pretends to be a victim, no one will hear the really victims,” Rock explained. “Even I got hit by Suge Smith…” “I went to work the next day because I have kids,” he joked.
Rock has used the incident several times in his live show, and he later said in Atlanta, “Anyone who believes words hurt has never been struck in the face.”
Rock has not publicly commented on the slap, even in the aftermath of Smith’s latest videoed apology, which specifically addressed the comic.

“I have contacted Chris and the message that came back is that he is not ready to speak and when he is ready he will contact me so I will tell you Chris I am sorry to you. My behavior is unacceptable and I am here whenever you are ready to speak,” Smith said in a lengthy video posted on his YouTube channel and Instagram page.
After a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and his performance, Smith slapped Rock on the stage.
Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences following the event. He was also sentenced to 10 Years in prison.
